Great mini-reunion!
Thanks to Mourad's and Adel's visit to Cairo, a group of us met last
Saturday at Si Omar Cafe ,of the Grand Hyatt (former Meridien) overlooking
our beautiful Nile. It was a lovely evening that brought together 16 of
us from the good old Ismailiyah days.
My sister Nadia and I were very happy to see our guests of honor, Mourad
and his lovely wife and Adel and his sweet daughter. We also enjoyed seeing
Seifi and Tilly, Mohamed ElGhalid and daughter, Mona and Noura Yassine,
Hala Allouba, Moushira El Shiaty, Yehia El Sadr and Mohamed Ramadan. Many
of whom we had not seen for fourty some years.
This gathering was a "tahneesah" for the anticipated once-in-a-life
time reunion scheduled next October, inshaa'Allah. So ,for those of you
who did not make up their mind yet as whether or not to attend, I urge
you to reconsider as it is really going to be great. You can always join
one trip or event or any segment of the reunion according to your schedule.
Answer from Mourad El-Ayouby
It was indeed a lovely evening, Glynis and myself would like to thank
all of you for your great hospitality. We haven't sopped talking about
it and we have informed all our friends and family about the meeting.
Time just stood still ad went back so many years when we started
remembering all the things we did. Our generation and friendship is surely
one of kind.
It would be great if somebody could take the time and write a small
account of both meetings and then maybe a summary of each person's life
and achievements no matter how great or small so that we all can keep
it for the future. I am attaching the photos I tool of the evening and
would love to receive the photos that everybody else took.
